Participate in the Study:
Voice Care and Routines in Church Settings
You are invited to participate in my research study exploring vocal health routines and practices within church and faith-based settings. There are two opportunities to participate: an anonymous survey and a 30-minute interview.
Eligible participants may choose to complete one or both activities, depending on their availability and interest.

Online Survey
The survey is completely anonymous and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. It asks about vocal health, routines, and resources used by church vocalists.
Eligibility criteria:

18 years of age or older.

Based in the United States.

Currently sings in a church worship team, ensemble, choir, or as a soloist with at least 6 months of experience.

Able to complete a self-administered online survey in English.

Understands that participation is voluntary and anonymous.

Interview
The interview is a 30-minute conversation scheduled at your convenience and conducted either in person or via video call. With your consent, the interview will be audio recorded to ensure accuracy in transcription and analysis.
Eligibility criteria:

18 years of age or older

Recognized as a subject-matter expert in at least one of the following areas: church music leadership or worship arts; choral direction or vocal performance in faith-based settings; vocal training in faith-based settings

Have at least 3 years of professional experience in your area of expertise

Familiar with the challenges and practices related to singing voice use in church or faith-based contexts

Willing to participate in a 30-minute interview (via video call)

Able to communicate fluently in English

Consents to being audio recorded for research purposes

What to Expect
Survey
