Shenika Ofor
Vocalist
Shenika’s performance career reflects a commitment to artistic excellence, versatility, and meaningful connection with audiences. Her work spans opera, concert, spirituals, and Christian worship music, with engagements across the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean.
She has been featured at the Sphinx Conference and Kaprálová Festival, and appeared in the ICYOLA Summer Music Concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Additional performances include concerts in Lisbon, Paris, London, Toronto, and Bermuda, as well as a national tour with the American Spiritual Ensemble in celebration of its 25th Anniversary.
Operatic roles include Oberto in Handel’s Alcina, Der Sandmännchen in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, and Beatrice in an English adaptation of Berlioz’s Béatrice et Bénédict. Her artistry has been recognized through honors such as the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Iowa District Encouragement Award and the Benjamin Matthews Voice Award.
Currently completing doctoral studies in voice at Indiana University, Shenika continues to bring a refined, purpose-driven presence to every performance, using her voice to inspire hope and uplift the communities she serves.
